Recently, a truck driver from Virginia was sentenced to five years of probation and 12 months house arrest for causing a multiple vehicle crash last summer in Kentucky which resulted in the death of a teenager from
Alexandria due to the personal injuries she received.
According to investigators, 43-year-old Gregory Gibson was the driver of the tractor-trailer which ran a red light and struck a pickup truck in which Heather Evans, who died as a result, her mother, and two other children were passengers.
In addition to the sentences of probation and home incarceration, Gibson will be prohibited from driving any trucks on public roads for a five year period. However, he will be allowed to operate a truck in the parking lot and between loading docks at his company.
