Virginia state police say the four people sustained personal injuries in a high-speed crash involving two motorcycles on June 22.
According to state police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Cotten, the accident took place on Interstate 64 east near the Virginia Beach Boulevard overpass shortly after 4:30 p.m.
Cotten said that one of the bikes was traveling at a speed somewhere between 80 and 100 miles per hour when the driver lost control, causing the second bike to crash into it. Each bike had a driver and passenger and all four sustained personal injuries, according to Cotten. She said that one of the passengers was a female who was six weeks pregnant.
According to Cotton, Virginia Beach resident Thomas O’Malley II, the driver of the first motorcycle was charged with reckless driving.
