Just got off the telephone with a potential client. She was in an accident and (of course) the insurance adjuster visited her in her home. (Lawyers get disbarred for showing up, uninvited!). The adjuster just wanted her to “sign a few forms.”
One was a medical authorization that clearly said “page 2 of 2.” Only problem was there was only ONE page being presented. When questioned, the adjuster said, “don’t worry about that, its not important.”
Yeah, sure. Maybe the unimportant part was the part that allows the insurance company to pry deep into not only your health but your financial and criminal history; allows them to use the form over and over, all without letting you know who the form is going to.
They just think you are stupid.
